"Children's Day", is an event, A Big Festival   celebrated on various days in many places around the world, in particular to honor children. Major global variants include an Universal Children's Day on November 20, by United Nations recommendation. Children's Day is often celebrated on other days as well.

Brazil

In Brazil, Children's Day is celebrated on October 12, coinciding with Our Lady of Aparecida's day, the country's Patron Saint, which is holiday.

The Happiness and well being of children is very important  highly admired and recognized here in Brazil.   We never even herd of children' s day until we came here to live from the U.S.  There is a Big festival and fun activities parties music and good food set up all over the city for the celebration of children. It is very beautiful and fun.  It is similar to Christmas and the children loves getting gifts.
